I served on pbr mark II 's from 1983-1987
there is a big difference between a pbr and a swift boat
first swift boats had screws not jets and are a totally different design. just look up a picture of a swift boat..
PBR's never mounted a 20MM cannon, but did have the option of a 40MM mortar... the normal crew was 5
1) forward gun tub twin 50'S
2) coxswain drove the boat
3) Radar and Radio man / Boat captain (had to be a qualified boat captain **regardless of rank**)
4)mid-ship 60 gunner
5) aft-gunner ether 50 cal. gun (most common), mark 19 grenade launcher, or 40mm mortar

I have a Enfield Rifle, handed down to me, that was used in the civil war by my great grandfather, who lived in western Missouri.

It was damaged in a battle in Mo. and my great grandfather put it back to gather, the front part of the wooden stock was broken off. He put the brass front plate on what was left of the stock, it looks great, I played with it when I was a child. My grandfather lived in eastern, Kansas in a town named Osawatomie. Thats where John Browns cabin is now.
On the side a large crown is engraved on the hammer side plate and in front of the hammer is the date 1862 with the word TOWER next to the date. On the other side two numbers atamped on the barrel, 25 + 25

Is there any value on the weapon, except to me for sentimental reasons.

Sincerely,
Larry I. Murdock
